about my gardens

I like my gardens better than most people I know.  They are what I dream about all winter.  They have my blood, sweat and tears in their soil.  They evolve each year.  Plants are added, plants are torn out.  Borders in the forms of logs, bricks and boulders are built up and then moved.  I have no formal training but I have learned a thing or two over the years.  This blog is a way of sharing that knowledge and the everyday joy and frustration of gardening.

I would love to see more about your gardens and how you do them. We live in the mountains between Evergreen and Conifer and it is a real challenge to grow anything here 1)Because the Elk and Deer eat everything you plant and 2)We aren’t allowed to do any outside watering (I sneak so don’t tell ;). We used to live in Englewood years ago and I was able to grow fantastic tomatoes there. Hope to see more soon.
